Wonderful service from both Jacques and Nikki recently in finding a rental property for our son and a friend. All queries since moving in have been attended to in a really timely manner with any small glitches fixed immediately. The property that we/they are renting is in excellent condition and was very clean upon taking possession also. Would highly recommend Goodwins, Jacques and Nikki for their professionalism.
We were tenants in a townhouse managed first by Danielle then Helen. Goodwins are by far the best property managers we have had to rent from. Other rental management services really make you as a tenant feel like a second-grade citizen, but Helen and Danielle have been friendly, pro-active and quick to address anything that arises. We see a lot of claims for tenanted properties and I personally believe that you are getting an excellent service from Goodwin Realty. There are so many property managers in New Zealand who do not do the inspections within the required guidelines and are not “proactive in controlling” their tenants. All of the information that we have received from Goodwins has been just what we have required and Catherine has been very helpful in helping with the progression of the claim.
I would just like to take the opportunity to say thank you for the way in which your company has assisted me with my rental over the last few years. Although I have now sold it, I would like to also take the opportunity to say that Vicki has worked well for me and my wife as our property manager. She has always let me know what is going on and we have worked through any issues that have arisen in a prompt way. As I have formally given notice with regards to the above property, I would like to take this time to articulate how fortunate I feel to have had your employee Kate MacGibbon as a property manger for the past two and a half years. Every dealing I have ever had with her (whether verbal, written or face to face) has been immensely pleasant, professional and effective. She has always followed very quickly up on any issue I have raised, and her eye for detail means that she has gone above and beyond expected work responsibilities.
(As an example, Kate once noted that I had been charged an exorbitant amount for water usage and was able to provide prompt assistance to rectify the situation.) Her communication skills are excellent, and she presents as being exceptionally well organised. She is definitely an asset to your firm and her performance has meant that I will always associate the name “Goodwin Realty Ltd” with the highest possible standard of property management.

I just wanted to thank you for all your help in looking after our home whilst it was tenanted. The house was clean and tidy and our house was sold in good time after the tenants moved out. I really appreciate all your efforts in taking care of our house and because of your dedication as a property manager our house was left in very good condition worthy of sale within weeks!
We all find times when life is busy and we need to get help. I just did not have the time to find tenants to fill this property, nor did I have access to databases or credit checks. On top of this, I did not know what the market rent was for my property.
So I decided to get a professional to do this. After asking my friends I contacted a couple of companies. First one did not call me back for a month; the second one did not want my business as it was a street outside their area, finally I went to a company that had a reputation.
Yes they did charge a little more, however it was worth it. That night they met me and looked through the house. On email we signed up and, within a week it was rented with little to no involvement from me. So they must have saved me a fortune because they did their job and rented the property. All the paper work and checks were done and we have a great tenant.
So if you want it done right, I would recommend that you go to the professionals and I found the team at Goodwins, a perfect team to do this.
